Ways to Support NDLS
There is a lot that goes into a one day show and there are many ways that we can use your support.
1. You! We need volunteers on the days leading up to, during, and after the show. Setting up and tearing down for a one day show is still as much work as a fair, but typically with less people because exhibitors come from all around and have go home with their animals. We need staff who can do things like ready ring, unloading, ring workers, ribbon runners, announce and record shows, and much more. We love to interact with the folks who come to the shows and cannot extend enough gratitude to those who helped this past year make everything come together in a short amount of time.
2. Donations. Do you have an eye for awards and prizes? We'd love to be able to promote local businesses who donate items or services as prizes to champions. We need to know pretty far in advance, but we have given out things like show sticks or bags of feed to exhibitors in the past and they are certainly very appreciated by exhibitors!
3. Donate. As you might imagine, it takes quite a bit of money to produce a livestock show. From ribbons, awards, prize money, premiums, and lots of other things, we are so appreciative of the folks who sponsor us monetarily to make the NDLS happen.
4. Spread the word to 4-Her's and FFA members you know who show livestock!
